Toggle showing or hiding Invisible Files on Mac

If you need to access hidden files in the Finder.  Just launch your Terminal buddy and type the following:

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE

Change “TRUE” to “FALSE” to hide the files

Then restart the Finder

killall Finder

If on a client’s machine you better make sure and retoggle or they will surely freak out and generate a follow up call.
